Made to Measure Bespoke LED Tape Lighting
All houses have that dark and shadowy corner, room or space where a lack of light makes the entire space look gloomy. Tape lighting is a form of illumination that can be used as accenting, backlighting or task lighting in various spaces, such as on stairways, hidden in cabinets, or in recessed areas.
Tape lighting is Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs) soldered onto thin flexible circuit boards, with adhesive backing to attach to surfaces. This is used widely in both homes and commercial properties due to being easy to use and can be cut to the needed length.
We can offer 3 types of LED tape to give you the wattage you need and the brightness you want:
- 8 watts – 300 lumens per metre
- 6 watts – 500 lumens per metre
- 6 watts – 700 lumens per metre
These tapes also come with a choice in light colour, which are Very Warm White (2,700k) and Cool White (4,000k), and can be used with dimming switches. If you are unsure what would suit your house, contact us via our office phone, or check out our lighting blog on light colour temperature to give you an idea on what colour suits where. All tape options are also IP65 rated, which are safe to use in the bathroom or kitchen as they completely watertight.
At Balcan Lighting, what we feel sets this tape lighting apart is not just the bespoke service, but the Colour Rendering Index, or CRI that is offered. This tape is CRI93, whereas most tapes currently on the market are only CRI80, which tends to wash out surrounding colours. In comparison, CRI93 helps to enhance surrounding stonework, skin tones and artwork in a living space.
Our service will provide the LED tape, cut to your measurements, along with the profile and trim to keep your tape lighting discreet. Although the tape comes with adhesive backing, we do recommend using a profile to fix it to your chosen surface, and if possible, a metal surface that will act as a heat sync.
A wide selection of 12v LED drivers is also offered depending on the tape wattage chosen.
Whether you’re looking for under cabinet task lighting for the kitchen or to enhance the architecture of your home, this Bespoke LED Tape Lighting comes with a 3-year guarantee to give you peace of mind.
Made to Measure Bespoke Festoon Lighting
Transforming your outdoor space with lighting has become a classy yet spectacular way to make any occasion that much more memorable. Use festoon lighting as merely accenting decoration or as practical all-round outdoor illumination on dark evenings. Parties, outdoor cinemas, BBQs and many more venues can be improved with illumination, and what better way to do this with British made festoon lighting.
We at Balcan Lighting believe in this high-quality British made bespoke product, and feel that you should be able to purchase made to measure festoon lighting for you to keep forever.
These ES/E27 lamp holders can be used outdoors with their IP44 rating to withstand the traditional British weather, and their UV rated plastic cable to prevent any degradation from being in the sun.
When enquiring, please be sure to have these measurements to hand:
- The length between the power supply/plug and the start of the festoon lights
- The total length of the festoon lighting that you need
This bespoke festoon lighting is fitted with a black UK plug as standard, and the maximum length is 100 metres. The festoons can even be spread over 50cm or 1 metre intervals to give you as much or as little light as needed.
Please be aware that lamps are NOT included with this lamp holder. For a classy understated look, we recommend using golf ball shaped bulbs to create a magical feel, or if vintage style squirrel cage lamps if you wish to go all out. Did you know that these festoons can be used with dimmable bulbs as well, to give you more lighting options depending on the time of day?
